This Morning’s wife Alexis gets told off for praise on Amazon reviews.

Amazon is a big deal when it comes to finding products worth buying. But if you scroll through the findings from the BBC’s Coffee House Live, some of the products you find on the site are almost too good to be true. When one woman, Dawn Tetsell, hosted a segment of the show about how to detect misleading product reviews on Amazon, they came across a number of products that didn’t quite go to plan (to say the least).

Some of the items were remarkably real, like a laptop that can burn a picture in two minutes or a baby that will interact with a phone until it’s 5 years old (of course it will; it’s a fully functioning baby). However, some of the purchases were way over the top. For example, there’s a product that can transform a bad ride into a nice one with a good price. Other questionable items included a life-size Chuck E. Cheese machine, an armoured bag that will keep you warm during a cold Thanksgiving, and several feminine products. That is how complex Amazon culture can be.

My only wish was that Amazon wouldn’t end up pretending it never knew Dawn Tetsell from the BBC has an account on Amazon. Her reviews are pretty sweet, especially for all those women who have been told off for praising and recommending products on social media sites. If you’re on the lookout for some outrageous items, just head to Amazon and look for those with top reviews.
