Each year the Halloween season brings plenty of options for getting ready for your spooky fun — which, according to our parent company, Disney, is one reason they win the annual title of Most Popular Day of the Year. The list isn’t made public, but thousands of news outlets worldwide already know which Disney characters fall on the top. My decision? I’m bringing some Disney magic into my Halloween season with my now-trademark “Disney Villain” nail art ideas, but I wouldn’t blame you if you stick to these classic pumpkin designs instead.

For those of you who aren’t too over the fright season — and honestly, really, really good at math — the official list was revealed on Oct. 1, and there are four main contenders: the Evil Queen (from Snow White), Mickey (from Sleeping Beauty), the Twilight Princess (from Sleeping Beauty), and perhaps the most infamous, the ultimate Disney villain, Cruella de Vil (from 101 Dalmatians).

Per the official list, the Evil Queen, who inspired “the most classic, popular, and complex villain designs,” will be seeing its biggest number of fans, whereas the best-selling princess will be “reaching a new audience of fans and Disney Princess fans who remember her on the big screen.” (Well, duh.) Then there’s Cruella de Vil, who will be seeing fans mostly children around the world enjoying her scary style. (Um, duh again.) Finally, the Twilight Princess will see its final counts — 7,000 and 7,000 — but the list goes on. We know this is a long list to choose from, but don’t let that stop you from getting your Minion nails done, right?
