In fashion-world lingo, “look-how-many-selfies-I-can-take” is usually just one of the beauty trends that can get applied at any time, but at Harpers Bazaar FW19, it was one of the big beauty ones. The magazine gave a very creative way of dressing up the accessory on backstage. All in black attire, models paired a black box scarf with their makeup looks to transform themselves into fairy-like characters. Aside from the fact that it’s a different take on how the accessory can be dressed up, there are plenty of other benefits behind the look.

First, it makes you stand out from the crowd while also transforming yourself into an easy-to-believe costume. Makeup artist Sam McKnight makes it look effortless too, giving models on the runway a fresh but sexy look. Basically, it’s like meeting up with your beautiful friends at a bar on Halloween night. This especially beautiful concept used the accessory as a canvas for makeup to be applied. Max Cleland, creator of MK Skincare, made blush seem effortless by wrapping it around the model’s cheeks for a beautiful flush. He played with the texture of the product so that it held a touch of shine and looked like no other makeup from his skincare line, meaning it was a real collaboration between the brand and fashion brand.

As an alternative to making a little decoration for your friends in a group photo, why not snap a few of these? They will be a no-brainer outfit to re-create as your #halloween costume.
