Best Non Toxic Nail Salon in Houston

Usually the higher a nail gets, the more difficult the upkeep, right? Right. And that can seem a little insane.

Right up until the point where it causes more damage than good.

Take the nail clipper, for example. Of course, you can pick a nail up, strip it, and get it to go right back into place. But what do you do if you have a sharp surface, and a nail that’s barely hanging on? More and more natural is to pick a nail up, angle it forward in order to make it taper, while dodging other nails by sweeping them out of the way. That way, you’re just rid of the nail, save the tip, and make a clean, smooth surface. Is that annoying? Sure. But it’s much easier than removing your nails altogether.

It also means that you have to start grooming your nails several times a week, like the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving or Christmas, when people decorate their homes and everyone would rather use a nail clipper than a razor to trim their nails.

The key is to let the base coat set for a few weeks (at least) before picking a nail up again. Even with a base coat, on the days you’re wearing your Christmas tree hair extensions, don’t use a nail clipper. I mean really, it’s best to just leave a nail clipper in the box for the holidays, and use a vise grip (if you have one) to rock your mani as much as possible. But when you do start pulling your nails back in, just hold your nail cleanly and right by the cutting edge, using a razor for keeping everyone’s fingers out of your way.
