Best Non Toxic Nail Salon in Houston

It is obviously the most popular nail style in the world, and while we love a good manicure, babies are difficult to keep in check. When it comes to their baby nails, it’s important to regularly give them a little love, especially as we transition into maternity leave in January.

It’s not much to ask of you when it comes to your pregnant belly, but can you imagine being you and actually having to hold your baby? Get it together in six easy steps by clicking through.

1. Remove the nail clippers.

Don’t have a set of regular clippers that you just bolt to the side of your vanity each day? Take the time to have a look around your house for your favorite nail clippers with the childproofing instructions posted on their packaging. If you have a spare baby stroller, the little cuties can also ride the handlebars safely (you’re welcome).

2. Position your hands in small contour positions.

If you are about to visit the nail salon, be sure to position your hands in small contour positions. The more you hold the little one, the more chance they have of damaging their baby nails. This is a good way to make them smaller and more bendable for when they try to bite into them or reach for them, but you might also enjoy some cheeky nail stickers that will make your child’s nail appear longer.

3. Hold the baby, but don’t hold their little hand.

For extra bouncy baby nails, place a baby car seat at the height of the same child’s head (be sure the little one is strapped in securely).

4. While holding the baby, don’t pull or squeeze them against their skin.

Don’t squeeze at the wrist or foot of a very tiny infant or baby who isn’t even fully developed. Keep the little one’s feet comfortable (there is no reason to slam baby’s little toes into the table’s edge, either!) and use gentle squeezing to keep them steady while you’re handling them.

5. Hold the baby for a few minutes as you iron your nails.

Once the tiniest of your Baby Nails are quite worn out, hold the baby for a few minutes to help smooth the excess skin and polish.
