Best Non Toxic Nail Salon in Houston

Nails may be my favorite body part to eat, but I had been battling it for years. I was probably self-medicating my lifestyle issues with food, and it was only one or two times a year that I worked in a spa, but I felt helplessly weak and fragile as I didn’t have access to a variety of methods for nourishing my nails. All I wanted was a natural alternative to that gel formula that appeared to cure everything.

I was very persistent, because I was incredibly sick and it was in my best interest. I didn’t want to leave the house and not have healthy nails, so I did what I had to do.

After going to the Pediatric Dentist for years, I met a manicurist named Nina, who got it. In her travels, she’d come across mango powder and other foods that were natural, such as pumpkin. And I convinced her to start using it right away! Nina introduced me to a variety of supplements that resulted in very quickly strengthening my nails.

During my intense recovery process after surgery to remove a cancerous brain tumor, I’d be up at 3 a.m. to get my nails from my old waterproof and hard to clean gel basecoat up to a healthy state. I was severely underusing my nails because I didn’t want to leave the house and not have healthy nails, so I did what I had to do. I didn’t want to go back to painting my nails; I wanted a natural alternative.

I cut back on stress and anxiety in my life, as well as my normal foods. I had one or two grains and vegetables each day for snacks, and I also got enough fiber. The supplements I used:

Fruit protein powder: I’d use it right before I showered.

Fruit nectar: I used the fruit flower vinegar and apple cider vinegar to get a hangover-friendly hangover.

Purple liquid: Purple liquid is very ergogenic, meaning it helps relax muscles and muscles contract more easily.

Beta-endorphin [a precursor to the painkiller oxytocin]: This is a natural painkiller that helps modulate pain perception.

Odd butterfly treatment: During routine cleaning, I’d put the pink/pink-purple mucus on my nails in small squares, and I’d rub it in every day for about an hour. I’d then apply a red cell henna treatment with the pouch, which has stem cells that attract natural, healthy blood cells and keep them in place.

Scald your nails: I didn’t like the harsh chemicals in polish that came in a lacquer tube, so I used a fine-tipped or liquid-metal-barbier. I would use the barbier all day long until my nails were scalded.

Then once my nails were healthy and growing, I started using my finger gel. I was so relieved and loved the strength I got from using this gel daily. I even try to bring the rainbow-colored polish I wear out at home to my dentist so he doesn’t see me through the door looking like an old rock n’ roll chick with rusty nails!

This had worked, so I started pulling my nails off the lotus leaf and wrapped it around my pedicure and inserted it into the Vitazor to offer a coarser surface for the moisturizer to soak into. My favorite nail products for my battered and worn fingers are Tashiro green tea cloth to keep my nails soft. On top of this, I tried wearing a lipstick that smelled like green tea and gave me a warming sensation that helped support my nails. I used Roots mouthwash to clean my mouth out and treat my dry mouth and suffering teeth, and red rub-on sunscreen.

When I am drinking a cup of green tea, I drink it with a drop of lavender oil. This eases my jaw line and uses the green tea to help revitalize my body.

The one main ingredient I try to keep in mind when buying/sampling new manicures, potions, and ointments is that they shouldn’t be harmful to your body or your nails. While holistic gels and potions can be a great comfort to my skin, for my hands, it’s so important to have proven long-term efficacy or at least be able to self-clean. That way you can say that you’ve found a solution for your current situation.
