Best Non Toxic Nail Salon in Houston

You’ve heard about how to keep your nails strong. Let’s face it: if you’re going to be holding many expensive things at once (I’m talking like notes, keys, photo frames), it helps to have some serious polish staying power. Long nails do the job, but never boring nails! After all, need you be reminded of how to grip things? All the Gwyneth Paltrow website Goop has to say about long nails is “they could have you rocking super long nails that last longer than you might imagine.” But how can you even think about having long nails if they won’t reach your toes? It’s finally time to put that theory to the test. We asked personal nail tech Shea Serrano for her three most important tips on how to grow longer nails.

Fetal Nails

“Long nails might feel longer and stiffer than short nails at first, but you’ll notice that much softer, more open feel more quickly!” Shea told us. “Longer nails are already established in your skin, so after a week, all of that hard work will pay off!”

Longer Late Nails

A story of childhood trauma can cause lingering early aging in the nail bed, Shea told us. “Raising up on substances and chemicals in your life can only slow the blood supply, and by the time you start wanting your nails to grow thicker, you’re already way behind.”

Regrowth Colors

Nail experts warn of a downside to piercing and filing: It can significantly shrink the nail bed. “If you’re getting a taint of colored nail polish, be sure to use something gentle and peachy,” Shea told us. “It will simply soak up the color quickly and eventually grow it out. It’s best to leave pale-pink or pale-green colors on your nails for now, but will transition to darker nail polish later.”
