When I see small people with tiny nails, I find myself going “those little guys can’t be real, right?” But as my baby grows, so too have my aesthetic standards. Before breast feeding, I would routinely ask my mom friends to get me tiny baby nails just so I’d have my hands free — unless it was to keep my hands safe and my nails clean. Once my son came along, he became my little nail computer, dropping food onto the walls and cars in no time.
At one point, I think I even went so far as to have an appointment with a nail technician to have his nails clipped like a startup exec on a 30-day salary. But despite how perfect his little Nails were in the beginning, they now look a little threadbare (don’t even start with me on this one). I guess that just makes me want him to be a little more like an adult, right?
