Last week, our pal Shenae Grimes announced her new nail brand, SNS Nails ($45). It’s a nail polish line made in the United States of course, though if you ask Shenae, it’s all about a T-shirt and an A-list following. “The reason for my nail polish line is because it is needed,” she wrote in her announcement. We couldn’t agree more.

SNS Nails has proved to be a total success on Amazon and still counting with a strong following, and is quickly evolving from a range of nail polishes to include gold, pearlescent, frost, and base colors and three colors for “Asian Violet” (which looks like bright pinky-purple with a green base coat), for which Shelae is already begging for more.

But all this gloss on polishes and nail enhancers is going to wear off if you don’t start getting “sNSed” with SNS Dip Pencils. There’s a mix of top and base pencils on the site, and the Dip Pencil is one you really need to get cracking.

It’s a great color for a dark night (Lemon Twist is a great wash off), and this application method will probably help speed up the drying time to somewhere around three days. You can use just the Dip Pencil for easy application, or if you prefer a bit more polish, you can also get with a Dip Gel and then use it in a dip drip. Unlike gel polish, you don’t have to completely dry the Dip Gel Pencil before using it again. At first, these colors are very neon, but once you get accustomed to a full coat of Dip Pencil, they become much more neutral, a near-matte finish.

The Dip Pencil, with one of its crazy colors or swirls, looks so chic and fun, you’ll never walk out the door without one. So grab a Dip pencil and you’ll be a good SNS out of the store — all for under $25! That’s a gorgeous price.
