Best Non Toxic Nail Salon in Houston

Do you wish you could wash your nails and have them moisturized simultaneously? Do you wish you had salon-quality nails that would only require polish twice a year? According to makeup artist Richele Blaquiere, it’s possible to have healthy nails with a minimal budget — and the two easiest steps are following her tips.

“Customers are afraid of (manicure) costs because they’re generally afraid of how expensive it is,” she said to POPSUGAR. “But I don’t think nail care can be truly considered luxury. More of it is an investment in peace of mind. You should always have someone keep tabs on your nails to make sure they’re not falling apart.”

First and foremost, Nicksiyos on nail chairs cost the least amount of money to put on your nails and should be temporary, according to Richele. Richele said that the most durable cost the most and the most expensive costs the least. So make sure that you’re selecting a manicure that involves at least one polish application.

“Too many coats of polish are actually damaging,” she said. “It’s better to try to at least try two shades in different nail salons than to go to one manicure and try four different manicures because nothing stays.”

Choose nail chairs that come with moldable polishes, even if the spot isn’t smooth. If you don’t have a flat surface to apply on, your nails will deteriorate faster. Nails in water will dry quicker and dry with a lot less water in your cutsicles.

While nail beds are usually the biggest threat to nails if you live in warm regions, Richele said the bigger issue lies in counteracting the heat. Put on a coat of nail primer to help conditions dry that wind on the hands in the daytime. It won’t put the nail beds out, but it will help prevent breakage.

If you’re out at a picnic, a tea party, or any others casual environment that doesn’t require paint for nails, stick to a pretty color. Richele said a darker shade won’t look as dull on your nails.

One final tip: take off your polish without using a brush to avoid drying your nails dry before you get to where you’re going. And always follow up after any makeover to ensure your nails don’t dry out or break again.

“Take a minute to just assess your nail bed and try not to remove anything with a clean fingernail polish roller and a sterile cotton pad,” Richele said. “Stick to a shade you like for best results.”
