Why does it get me extra money? What can I expect from getting a pedicure?

This is a question I’ve been trying to answer for years, and I finally decided to start answering it.

Why do I get a pedicure?

A pedicure, like any other kind of repair, doesn’t come cheap. First, there’s the salon. It’s likely more expensive than usual because these days, most hospitals offer a complimentary manicure or pedicure, if not both, on their medical grounds, but for the most part, opticians and salons are a higher price. There’s typically a charge for your appointment, a small, if definitely a stressful, initiation of your new preferred method of manicure and pedicure. Then there’s the cost of any replacement devices. Depending on what they’re used for, a salon or spa can cost hundreds of dollars, perhaps a thousand. If you’re going to get in, it might as well be done right. On average, most (and often done on medical grounds) are worth it.

What benefits does pedicure have for me?

There are several, and many are exaggerated in the so-called “clients” of the salon. The first benefit is money. The cheaper the amount of time you’re in someone’s chair, the more you’ll pay for your visit. The best buyers (more customers) have a tendency to spend more money, too, but are more willing to compromise on any concerns that can be examined after the fact. This is a distinctly Western phenomenon, but there are variations around the world and it is immensely popular in some countries.

But while it gives you more, is it worth it?

There’s absolutely no value placed on a pedicure that’s not done to maintain your appearance. If you visit a salon to get your apartment completed, you’ll be more expensive than if you used a certain service to do your apartment cleaning. Perusing the most popular manicures, the vast majority are pretty identical. All have a scrub on one side and a cotton blend on the other, but they all have special wire-jobs done on the outside, using some like threing for polish and probably a hand line.

Of course, this maintenance also requires a set of hair clips and brushes. If the salon can do this, it’s probably safe to say the stylist here actually has a degree. You should take some modest pride in yourself and take care of your own (i.e. your apartment) after surgery, though I’m not sure this is helpful in the end.

The benefits of a pedicure go beyond those specific aspects.

If you’re making some serious cash, and you want something nice to do with it, let’s get it done.

Take Pictures. Think of it as your personal cut-out of the world. You might not be too impressed by where your friends work, but if you’re truly great with a computer, and are willing to spend a couple of hundred bucks before having to deal with poor placement and poor lighting on a professional grounds, then you can go insane. Live in a job that comes with a photography program and every step in the process will be documented.

I think we’re all happy to share the things we look at every single day with the world, but I think we’re not happy to look at ourselves every single day. You probably have tens of thousands of picturesin your Flickr stream documenting every moment on the fly. The more beautiful your digital avatars are, the more we’ll value their value as you age. And if you’re amazing at it, consider going on a retreat. If you can go inside your he, find your authentic colors and decide that every aspect of your life you’d like to change, you can do it.

I love creating a luftrock.com blog entry immediately after enjoying my manicure and pedicure. I’m so inspired by those beautiful photographs from the manicure that I never get to take a moment out to experience that special moment.

One of the most powerful things we can do to our appearance is change how we’re putting our bodies to work. We can shape ourselves in ways that attract the health and beauty our bodies deserve. Why not go on a retreat and begin to completely reconnect with your soul?
