Best Non Toxic Nail Salon in Houston

We’ve seen the trends before, and we know that manicures can look like nothing more than a fad if you don’t carefully organize your manicure. Here are seven tips to make your manicure last, courtesy of Club Mani Art/Nailsmiths founder Kayleigh Bird.

1. Keep It Regular

Kayleigh says that after sitting down with your favorite nail color, finish up your polish. When done, don’t leave the stand alone! If your color runs out, drop it into the basket or bag and create a messy tray — especially to keep from discoloring it. If you’re washing it, never leave your painting marred or you could remove more paint than you intended.

2. Follow Nail Polish’s Instructions

Your nail polish “do” could be quite different from the color, and if you find yourself taking it off too much or too often, this can break the seal of your cuticle, effectively flattening your nails.

3. Decide When to Revit It

Every day, make sure you write down when you want the polish color to fade or color to shift, and then arrange it on the sink for quick touch-ups.

4. Don’t Let Pastels Wreck Your Nails

If you get a misapplication with a muted color, definitely avoid it on the next two days. If the shade is faded, skip on it for the next week.

5. Define the Shape of Your Teeth

Begin by dipping a nail file into Cuticle Oil, which helps with nail color stickiness. Pat down the edges of the nail using an oil-based nail polish remover, and leave it for at least two days. If it is too dark, use nail polish remover during this time.

6. A Small Dip Won’t Damage Your Teeth

Regularly dipping the nail brush into Cuticle Oil will help with the appearance of your cuticles, which, in turn, helps your nails look longer.

7. Enlist a Nail Technician

A manicurist can also help you if you have an issue with a nail color.
