Have you noticed how your nail design tells an almost cinematic story about you? Your nails can provide you with a glimpse into a woman’s personality, be it in her work, personal relationships, or even in her speech. You can’t rely on just one or two comments. It is amazing how your nails help you break down the vague labels your self-talk allows you to use. From Cara Delevingne, to Brazilian model, Claudia Schiffer, Asher Roth, Vanessa Hudgens and Katy Perry, lots of women have lots of nail designs that compliment their body. Alina Tong, creator of nail art site Nailspiration.com shares the stories and stories of women’s manicures and their possible meanings. “I decided to name my nail designs after people and their characters. I choose to do this as my designs tend to get a lot of comments. If someone who’s friends with me says something negative about my design, I am gl because it means they really liked it,” Tong said. There is an in-body scent for everyone, from night skies, to the vibe of women in love. Here are some of the women and nail designs that show their feelings with their own individual tips and tricks:

Karolina Uhryjko’s Stone Island Slurs series is based on the feeling of feminine mystique in a man’s clothing

“Here is one of my designs that has such a strong emotion! ‘He knows me too well,’ it says. And so does my perfect man, who designs and just so happens to be me. This man likes me because he knows me,” Uhryjko told PopSugar.com in September 2016. Vanessa Hudgens picked out some of her favorite nail designs she has seen. “I like playing with pops of color and creating shapes like the ‘Got Your Everything’ series and the ‘Slutdrop’ collection. As well as being innovative and not afraid to experiment with colors and shapes, these are perfect for feminine, youthful and cool girls like me,” Hudgens said. Jodie Marsh also me clear her views on what makes her feel comfortable:

“I don’t think much about what I look like on-screen or how I look in my everyday life. I think it is important for women to feel that their clothes are a reflection of them. A big part of doing well is knowing what a women looks like,” Marsh said. Now it seems nail design is catching on to the same theme. With fasion models like Alessandra Ambrosio and Kate Upton showing how it is done in the front row, nail art is getting recognition across the world, and the nail industry’s growing popularity is indicative of how women are opening up about themselves and their shapes and colors. According to a study commissioned by Dr. Scripps themselves, people who use nail polishes can tell how much they’re sincere. Published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, researchers working in collaboration with Dr. Joe Spano and Dr. Cynthia Griffith have published the findings and the data they gathered to conduct their investigation. They discovered that the average woman, less than 1 percent of the time, displays a strong personality. And they identified a powerful nongender characteristic that also stands out in many women; they also look nice.

According to study s, “a ‘signature’ can be used to recognize gender, behavior, or preferred activity (eg. gender neutral grooming). On average, women seem to have a stronger signature than men, but a gender neutral—if not ‘sexy’—signature tends to be accepted in all women.” In the study, only 21 percent of women exhibited a strong signature, while only 18 percent of men did. Interestingly, more women mitted to having a feminine than a masculine signature and more men said they h a masculine than a feminine signature.

Out of the 1,357 women surveyed, the women’s results differed from the men’s, as 72 percent of women reported a strong signature and 63 percent of men did. Similarly, 64 percent of women reported having a masculine or feminine signature and 63 percent of men did. And when compared to male-female relationships, women use their nails to reveal whether they feel valued, conscientious, and confident.

In fact, “practical exercise patterns show women are more likely to use blunt force force tools [Tools] during chore swapping, balance exercises (which they are far more likely to do alone), and home-remodeling activities with coloured materials [which women tend to do together],” the report stated.

Also, the women of other sexes like women use nail polish for communication and to express themselves and strategize on verbal communication more often than men.

Women use color-stained and/or worn nail polish to express emotions, and specifically, positive emotions, than men do, according to the study. More men are verbal and competitive rather than warm and nurturing.

If these findings are anything to go by, it should be noted that the majority of women in the U.S. aren’t professional, focused, competitive, or typically engaged in the workplace. At the same time, how is one to sort through all the data presented in this study?
