Best Non Toxic Nail Salon in Houston

If you are contemplating getting back into the nail-polish game in 2019, have no fear. Unlike your body, the nail industry has, of course, been increasingly altered to keep it fresh and vibrant and provide you with a better way to look at your digits. While you can check out the latest trends on the nail Internet, some of my favorite looks come straight from your nail specialists. So what did they find most satisfying about their long-time clients? They shared their favorite tips and tricks to keep your nails healthy and sparkle.

“I’m so inspired by my clients, especially if they show me the places that inspire them, such as on Instagram or other amazing places around the world. The things they want to put on their nails also inspires me and makes me think about the next piece of polish.” —Michelle Dibble, Manhattan Nail Salon

“Preparing my nail prep: Put on some really hot water and a peppermint oil spray, brush on some orange polish, and wait for the polish to dry. Then buff the nail with a small cube of orange toothpicks and an old toothbrush. Finally, cut some Fuzzy Yummy Bunny sugar cookies and sprinkle them on the nail to cure the dryness.” —Marshall Neale, Clear Vision Salon

“Toning my nails in between appointments: Vinegar is great because it contains sodium carbonate. The acid is able to neutralize and break down stains, and this helps to put a shine on your nails. I use 1 tablespoon of vinegar with 1 teaspoon of warm water and apply to my nails.” —Khaali Williams, Uptown Nail Salon

“Vinyl polish and pearls are my favorite finishes. It helps to reduce the growth of free radicals that cause breakage. I’ve also found that using a formula with egg white in it is my favorite polish for cleaning up the polish as well.” —KHatebug, Best Nails by Footnotes

Keep in mind that your nails are not meant to last forever — they do break. However, it’s not always the healthiest option to file up or stick to a white base coat. While you might think the healthier your nails, the longer they will last, that’s simply not the case. Great nail health does not preclude the need for white polish, and a white base coat will help your polish stay shiny and classy for a long time.
