Each month, we bring you some of the best beauty bloggers on the Internet. Whether they’re blogging about trends, giveaways, fashion tips, or the latest beauty products, these bloggers curate the best information on the web for beauty bloggers and their reers alike. You can find them on Instagram or Twitter or on their own blogs.

When Leah Princo, nail artist for actress Laura Prepon and best-selling of For Emily, I Want To Talk About Alexa, heard the term “Gel Polish,” her first thought was, “Wow, now I can have a whole nail covered in glitter and a neon nail art look with just one application.”

“I have been using glitters, glitter, hues and textures since I was a kid,” Princo said. “I once h a glitter butterfly on my index finger. When I first put on the glitter, I got a Halloween-sized snake in it. I’m still seeing all the places I’ve used glitter and when I re-use it, it turns into these amazing scary eyes.”

But when she found out that she didn’t have enough time to try all of the products on the market, she began to ask her celebrity friends.

“I heard from my friends who told me that they h one-hour appointment and they put it on in the morning and painted it like an ombre or a rhinestone-dipped color on a daily basis.”

And then she me an instinctive decision to try out one product at a time.

“I’m a manicurist, so I use glitter, jewelry, rhinestones, gems, stars and everything that glitters. The point with this selection of colors is that you don’t have to use all of them. You just have to get familiar with your favorites.”

“I have been really loving everyone’s homeglitter shes and accent-contrast techniques for a long time,” Princo continued. “I’ve been working in fashion nails for five years and all of them are favorites, but somehow it was so rare that I wasn’t using a one-color thing.”

So Princo looked for different ways to use different shes to create more and more stunning nail art.

“Gel polish is all about application, so just doing one she at a time is the best way to get a nail that looks just like you want it to,” she said. “Each person has a different style, so I create those same stick out nails for them with no problem.”

There are a lot of trends in nail art that are fun, but Princo finds that the key to creating something will is just being creative. “What’s fun about nail art is that you can do any color and create any text and any pattern and use it multiple times on the same nail. It can be fun and pretty!”

And it should always be fun.

“Nail art is kind of like art in general,” Princo said. “You can make art, art with a negative space or a dot-matrix paint, a swirling orcalming way to make art that will bring a party to your home.”

And when you do create, there’s a finish!

“When I get to a client’s home to finish a design on her nails, I always let them tell me what color they’d like before I start,” Princo said. “Often they may want a different tone or they want to make it more modern or retro, but I like to give them the option to customize my client’s nails just as much as they like them.”

So stay tuned. Every month, we’ll be sharing our favorite nail art bloggers, their secrets and tips. And look for a new selection of colors, textures and perfect shes each month.
