To celebrate the spookiest of months, we’ve pulled together some fun ideas for incorporating Halloween decor into your manicure. From funky nail art projects to large balloon designs to DIY stickers, there are a ton of playful options to help you celebrate the festivity.

Work With Halloween Colors

Try putting Halloween colors on your nails. White, green, and purple are a few that we’ve found lots of other options with. If your nails aren’t long enough, try connecting their markings to make a circle rather than a square. After you finish this first step, use a color clip to loop the tips of your fingers into the decorations.

Make a Balloon

Stick balloons on your nails or strands of glitter on your fingers. Create the template for your balloon design here. If you don’t have a picture of a balloon, you can use a regular glue gun to stick some glue to a circle or circle and half of a triangle. Sculpt the shape of your design and coat the balloon square-side up with glue.

Lace Up a Lanyard

Work with green, green, green, or black on your nails, then use a color-blocked ribbon as a lace to weave it. This is the easiest way to style your designs on your lanyard.

Gelt Hacks

Go beyond the usual gelt to put some creativity into your nails. You can use straight glue or even glitter to decorate your nails. Go for simple designs that are easy to create, like white gelt with a twist or black gelt with a twist.

Light-Up Mason Jars

Put a party favor into a drinking mason jar. Use tiny, faux flowers in many shades of green, red, yellow, and blue.

Create a Swirl With Pop Paint

Cut around the cuticle to create an outline of a spiral to make a simple theme for your nails.

Make a Butterflies Out of Rice

Using just white, pastel, clear, and red stains on your nails, glue colorful Rice Krispies shapes to each fingertip.

Gloating on a Biscuit

Spoon black and green icing on a sugar cookie and add a sprinkling of white edible glitter on top.

Face Paint on a Tear Drop

Directions: Apply black paint to the tear drop by twisting it and smoothing out the edges. Next, add a white pom-pom by simply pinching the ends together. Continue with the other four shades for a vibrant rainbow in two minutes.
