Best Non Toxic Nail Salon in Houston

Muddling into a perfect manicure is never too hard for this tiny pup — especially when you think about it. Top pedicurist Nina Messner of Zoë Gift Shop shared with us a very easy two-step technique for peeling away the crusty, hideously worn off look of Dachshund nails: a bit of polish remover followed by a short split tooth clipper. Enjoy!

Nails basically have two parts — one on each end. If you stick close to the natural shapes, there’s nothing to worry about. The width and length of the nail tells me the coat has been removed. First try to remove the coat with a brush. This will remove the layer of wax that has built up. Repeat the process with a brush a second time (this is what makes this step so important).

Next, using a pair of tweezers, gently tug on the patterned part of the nail. Dip a nail clipper into polish remover — this will remove any residue of polish leftover on the nail. Repeat with a toothpick. Now it’s time to let the polish dry, but it’s important to keep rubbing the nails with soft, clean nail polish remover for extra protection.
