The Cut found the most stunning nail designs for the Fall (and you should, too), but we also asked 27 editors at our sister site Refinery29, who created the Trend Spotter graphic, to share their favorite Instagram nail artists we should follow. You probably already use the Pinterest results in your search, but here’s what they actually made look cool and artsy:

MeowfieXO

First of all, these nail art posts are 100 percent accurate. Second of all, meowfie, although she’s not a favorite of mine, is great on the toes and cheeks, and definitely can’t beat the silhouette.

@alizukalic

For this look, we based the design after a Japanese art feature created by artist Eiji Makino. In a file that’s small enough to fit in your nail files, click it right above the end of the frame, then, using the underskirt of your nails, apply 8-inch-long paint over the shape to create the collage effect.

Nick Liu

This is a minimalist cutout design, made more sparkly with a lacy pink color.

Rebecca Leff

This manicure was inspired by classical Japanese hollywood actress Chrysanne Verena, who regularly posed with flamingos. The pattern on her feet shows off her costume detailing and silver-gold sandals.

Maria Emi Nails

This DIY nail art features graphite cutouts in an ethereal, muted shade.

Melissa Guilford

Our pick for the minimalist: Melissa Guilford creates her beautiful acrylic nail art using subtle color combos in either black or beige.

Ashton McKenna

A creamy rose, which also makes this look pretty and blingy.

Kobe Style

Every nail art DIY at Refinery29 feels like a vintage throwback, and that’s because we went with amazing thrift finds by the likes of Rivington Fine Goods.

Artiesmith

Created by artist Ayse R. Daniel for style blogger Breida María Fernandez, this minimalist cutout design was originally meant for necklaces.

Noelle Barnecut

Painstaking details dot this mesmerizing one-color nail art.
