This is an important fact for Dachshunds! Smartypants owners know that little guys have a serious love for chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, and food-filled summer camp. And we’re also pretty sure they don’t even care about being considered cute as a status symbol. That doesn’t mean this little guy doesn’t have a taste for insanely salty and greasy food . . . and when your guy loves it so much, it can start to show on his nails.

Yes, back in the days of wet tape, Dachshunds had an accessory straight out of the movie Mean Girls. Nails like these can be hereditary, which means the furry little guys, known for their acute sense of smell, can be potentially attuned to the intensity of the food platter that’s sitting in front of them.
