Best Non Toxic Nail Salon in Houston

I’m always hesitant to ask beauty and beauty writers to share their wisdom, so when I received an email recently from celebrity manicurist and beauty writer Claudia Noval, I was truly blown away. With gorgeous coral tips and a deep red plait, Claudia is known for her adorable pigtails and gorgeous nail art. And since her own mani doesn’t seem to stop ’em from becoming the usual glossy highlights and bold primary colors, I knew it was time for my own change.

But since Claudia’s tips are so simple, they’re perfect for anyone. And let’s be honest: how do you know when it’s time to do a fresh mani or whatever else you decide to do? Knowing what’s right for you is hard enough, so I’m glad to have Claudia to remind me of the basic but important steps.

Nails aren’t just whatever color you “feel like” them, it’s also time and attention to detail. By being on the money with any new venture, you’ll feel more accomplished. If you’re a self-proclaimed glam-challenged ’90s kid, you’ve missed out on a ton of having fun when you apply your own makeup. Share this image and tell us: do you have any of these tips?

1. It is always cold and blue.

2. Observe.

3. Remove the tops of your fingers immediately after applying polish.

4. Tip: avoid using cold cuticle oils or paper towels.

5. When applying shade colors in a bright room or while playing music, stop when the foot is warm.

6. Let your nails dry completely for at least 15 minutes after applying color, or to make the polish softer.

7. Before removing polish, dip the ends of the tips in milk or bar soap to remove residue and oils.

8. And just to be clear, it’s not too late for a dark chocolate mani. It’s totally acceptable.
