While we’re far from the next season’s hottest fashions, there’s still plenty we can dream about (we’re thinking of New York Fashion Week in February). While the globally renowned Fall and Winter collections aren’t released until Fall 2019, designers do create a few collections of Spring 2020. With that in mind, we’ve been listening closely to the inner workings of runway shows so we can follow the trends so we can see how they will actually translate to the high-street. We’re looking at what’s coming up for Spring 2020 and how the beauty look will take us forward. For more insight into the trends, you can follow Jenn Yoder on Instagram here.

Revealing Matte Lip Colors

If you’re a fan of red, we see shades of raspberry, pink, and coral on the runway as well as on the catwalk. This color trend is actually a recurring trend, and we can expect to see you wear it on the streets pretty soon. We also expect lots of brown nail polish as we’ll see Nails Inc. totally saturated in a brown shade, while OPI is doing a similar shade for Taylor Swift.

A Soft Isometric Makeup Look

We’ve seen girls stick to monochromatic makeup for Spring, with an all-black or all-pink runway. You’ll be able to get this look in real life in a few months, too, because cosmetics gurus are staying in mono. Your makeup bag won’t have an abundance of shades but will only carry the bare minimum of five. The key to achieving this look is to be really aware of your skin tone, so you can tell how to reach the right shade. Keeping the eye makeup light and dramatic will help you.

Striking Eyeshadow Looks

Get glammed up by using the same shade on your eye lid. The trick is to not just use a neutral eye shadow, but to make sure it’s paired with one that matches your skin tone. Apply one of the hottest color hues on your eyelid first. The trick is to apply the eye shadow in one to two long strokes, then smudge it in. This way, the color will blend with your shadow.

Blush and Glow Highlights

Rich brown and bronzer shades are already making an appearance on the Fall runway, but we’ve also spotted pops of yellow, blue, and green on the Spring runway. We’re seeing classic blush and highlighter shades, but there’s a touch of gloss thrown in too.
