“When you are young, getting your nails done is probably just something you consider ‘oh, I don’t even need a manicure day, my pedicure is a regular girl’s thing,'” says Dr. Paloma Beauchamp-Saleh, he of manicures at Pink Squirrel Spa.

“But unfortunately, that assumption is de wrong. We know that actually getting a pedicure is good for your skin, so it’s an essential part of your beauty regime.”

Pedicures help clean up pores and improve your skin’s shine, which makes them ideal for protecting your against certain skin conditions, like psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and skin tags.

Plus, the nail polishes and salons’ trained nurses will always be able to correctly heal all cuts and cuts with the proper tools, meaning it’s all worth it.

“When you have regular nail procedures like nail trims and nails that are cleaned, your nails stay healthier longer and you won’t require regular treatment over time,” says Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh.

But you can’t have nail treatments without a proper cut. And they’re essential to keeping your hands healthy and supple.

Meet Dr. Joseph Beauchamp-Saleh, a registered Podiatrist at Hollywood’s Spago. Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh is based in Las Vegas. He says some of the best beauty treatments and products lie within the personal territory of spa.

1. Our Mini-Pro Lift

“I don’t know when this product was introduced, but the idea of purchasing this device by buying it online was kind of crazy to me,” Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh says. According to the company’s website, the Mini-Pro Lift lifts any flat or fed skin. “This lifts the skin from beneath the skin by grually working its way around the hands,” says Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh. “It is like a rubber band. It gently lifts the skin which fills the area with shine.” The full version retails for $99.

2. Latisse

Celebrities who have Latisse include Demi Moore, Diddy, and Jessica Simpson. “There is no medical reason why you need to be using a laser treatment,” says Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh. Although using this treatment can give you a much smoother forehe and lessen puffiness under your eye, Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh explains, Latisse shouldn’t be used as a permanent solution for your skin’s overall health. “Focusing on the area that is affected and taking care of it as best as possible will help you live the best life,” says Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh. The main problem with Latisse is that it causes hair loss and burns the skin. While your doctor can formulate a special cream (like something from MSD) that will provide better results for certain types of health conditions like acne or psoriasis, Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh doesn’t recommend these methods as your go-to treatment. The dermatologist also says the good news is that Latisse is no longer being tested in clinical trials.

3. Apricot Butter

“We use apricot butter on a regular basis for a simple reason: It works magic,” says Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh. This natural beauty treatment is natural in its method and will help to alleviate an edging problem, cut down on breakouts, improve circulation and hydration levels, and tone skin. It’s also known to work wonders on breakout-prone skin and dull, oily skin. “People tend to over-do it, causing breakouts to return,” says Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh.

So if you have acne prone skin, the vice is to start patting your skin by 20 minutes after your day shower. “After doing this, you’ll notice a visual difference,” he says.

4. Crucifulline

Crucifulline is a salt spray that will leave you feel well-rested throughout the day. Sounds like the best beauty treatment ever? “Think about it like an applied cream, which works on much longer-term benefits,” says Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh.

5. Ibutenda

The thin skin of one’s face, neck, and ears can easily dry out with time. This skin can become sensitive with hair and skin odors, which can le to breakouts. Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh encourages using this at night when the skin will look easier to hydrate.

6. Butylene

You’d think that the only treatments to strengthen your skin would be from the sun, but Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh explains that using a supplement me from butylene glycol is all about a balance between you and your skin. “This supplement can protect your skin from the UV rays of the sun,” he says.

7. Nair

While a dip in a tub ofthis body lotion will help pamper the body and prevent whatever it is from developing problems, Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh says the best reason to use this is as a pampering treatment that may signal to your doctor that you should take a look at possible hormonal imbalance. If this happens, he explains, it could result in invasive surgical procedures to repair skin damage. One of his clients reported that he used it on her and that it resulted in removal of a plasmacytoidema (an abnormal skin growth).

8. Glyphosate

Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh stresses the importance of using products with a mild to moderate amount of glyphosate (think both DeWalt home washes and Eucerin sparkling water). This isn’t beneficial for the skin, especially if you have certain type of acne or psoriasis. However, for the body, this thing is beneficial for preventing breakouts, improving circulation, preventing skin diseases, and, according to dermatologists and clinical trial, protecting against inflammation.

While it can be drying, in terms of the application and quantity, the dermatologist recommends using products like former President Johnson ‘s Proactiv, which is both oil-free and fragrance-free.

11. Social Media

You think all we have to do is click on our phone screens to show the world what we are doing? Think again. This diction negatively impacts our hormonal rhythm and our effectiveness and predictability in our skin care routines, according to dermatologists. While it’s always tempting to click on a group selfie, dermatologists warn that it doesn’t help the overall body look healthy. More and more people are de-stressing and taking longer breaks from social media, but when you go for a long time, it could literally do irreparable damage to your skin.

While this might be true, frequent Fac check-ins are not recommended.

The best vice we can offer people is to try going offline for a few hours every couple of days and d a ‘tote’ or a travel ban as you are traveling. This could even help curb over-stimulation from our screens. It could be safer and healthier for your body.

12. Exercise

It’s highly important to exercise. But it’s not always necessary or wise to do it for your skin. Exercise, like diet, is essential for overall health and preventing illness, but it shouldn’t be used for skin care alone. Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh recommends that people indulge in moderate activities like walking, swimming, or biking. Doing this exercise combined with a good skin and exercise regimen could work wonders in the healing process.

To put things into perspective, occupational therapists recommend doing 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise per week.

Kylie Jenner has also faced backlash for her unhealthy diet and fitness routine, and it’s only natural that it affects your skin.

14. Light Eye Cream

While people may be skeptical about cleansing their eye area, skin doctors and a number of observational studies suggest that it does help to reduce tiredness, says Dr. Beauchamp-Saleh.
