It might make more sense to try drinking water rather than purchasing one of those “persona” cocktails, which are usually very rich and heavy and would really throw your natural balancing system off. A simple pedicure is a great way to get some exercise in your morning routine. Adding a pedicure to your day can cut down on the wear and tear on your feet by helping to remove dead skin and cellulite. And even if your pedicure is done in a salon, remember to use an organic or biodegradable shampoo product, and dress properly to protect your feet. Shoe cleanings can include products designed to remove moisture (a soft spot is a perfect spot for discoloration!), improve the appearance of dimples (you don’t want to look like a kid during your pedicure), offer a more natural fragrance, and reduce the appearance of calluses. Nail Tech Advice For Your Clients
Here are a few tips from well-respected nail technicians to help prepare your clients for a full-day at the salon. Make sure you take extra time in practice sessions to massage the skin, says Amanda White, lead stylist at Color Couture Salon. “Since she’s so sensitive to pain, she likes to get her hands massaged and rubbed.” To do a full-body check, Nailpro asked Amy Hoffman, celebrity manicurist and former makeup artist at Neiman Marcus, to look down the stretch on a table and examine the skin down to the areas closest to the nervous suture. Otherwise, you’re going to make the salon feel like a place that you want to come and have a fabulous experience,” White says. “I always ask for your client’s phone, and I can take the pictures of you,” Medeiros says. “You should want to be taking photos of yourself as well, when you’re at home,” Hoffman says. “Take your regular self photos, and get creative.” She suggests using products like the Diptyque Bulletproof Nice, which she says allows you to have longer shots without leaving a red mark. “Maybe you don’t want to expose yourself to a potential date when you’re waiting for nails.” White says. If I’m seeing someone, I want to be putting my best face forward.” If you have a smartphone handy, however, “I would wear my selfie glasses, so the next time I see her, I see her perfect face,” Hoffman says. “If you get through the day, go home and have a nice, relaxing dinner,” White says. “You can use my Zujka Doodle and I shoot photos of myself doing everyday things,” Hoffman says. When you’re getting ready for your first client, pick one that’ll knock out a beautiful dot or two at once, because you can’t create something as elaborate as a nail art canvas every time you visit. First, White advises, realize that to create a case study, you’ll need the same set of photos for each set, so it’s best to plan accordingly. For the case study, White suggests picking up some at the local beauty supply store. “Do it in advance so you don’t have to worry about finding what will work the best for you.” Hoffman prefers to prep and prep, because she says she likes to have a set of nail measurements. “You don’t want to pick a time and [tell them], ‘Take this, it’s not the best,’ because they won’t appreciate it,” White says. “Don’t photograph yourself eating dinner before your case study,” White says. “It might be uncomfortable sometimes, but once you see what works and what doesn’t work,” White says, “you’ll do it again.” Hoffman recommends taking photos of everything from the first layer of the
